Judging profile of Tuula Savolainen, Finland
I have been breeding Wolfhounds in a small scale since 1984 with the prefix Wolfmann. During these years there has been eleven litters with 87 puppies. Last litter was born 2009 and I believe I shall not breed anymore. These years have given me a great pleasure to meet lovely families, to get great friends and our puppies have had nice homes. Our wolfhounds had been partly family dogs, partly for showing and some also for lure coursing.
Beside the Wolfhounds I have bred also Dobermanns, one litter Pharaoh Hounds and have owned one Sloughi, two Welsh Corgi Pembrokes, two Norwich Terriers and now a days I have one Miniature Schnautzer and one Shiba.
As a hobby I’m at the moment again a member of the show committee and the breeding committee of the Irish Wolfhound Club in Finland.
My free time goes mostly in dog shows, judging also Wolfhounds but for the most all possible different breeds. I started my judging career 1994 first with the Wolfhounds, went slowly forward with the sighthounds and when years went by I noticed that getting to know new breeds it also gave more perspective to my own breed. I have been judging in Belgium, Holland, England, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland , Denmark, Estonia, Czechia and Lithuania. The other hobby very near to my heart is working in the garden/ yard.
It is a great honor to get the possibility to judge at your show this summer. I’m extremely happy and very excited to meet you all.
Kind regards and waiting for your show in July.
